Project synopsisNick Holmes is a Modern art advisor whose acquisitions include works by Gerhard Richter, Angus Calder, JMW Turner, Barbara Hepworth and Tony Cragg. His independent exhibitions promote established and emerging contemporary artists in galleries across the UK.
The studio was commissioned to design a visual identity, website and supporting printed matter. An assured extended logotype pairs with Arno Dresher’s highly geometric, 1930s Super Grotesk typeface in quiet reference to the advisor’s Modern specialism. A large key line variation of Super Grotesk is used as an additional display style and ancillary voice throughout the brand.
The website profiles key acquisitions, commissions and artists alongside an exhibition archive. The studio further art directed a supporting image bank of candid photography, documenting art works in situ and observations of Nick Holmes’ workplace.
